Dr. Jaroslav Sturma
Dr. Sturma is a full-time professor
of psychology at Charles University
in Prague. He is the Chairman
of the Czech and Moravian Psychological
Association. He is a world renowned
specialist in learning disorders,
who views his work as whole-hearted
service. Dr. Sturmas personal
dedication to helping those
in need is best exemplified
by his role as founder and Director
of the childrens centre
for mental and physical disabilities
in Prague, named Paprsek.
His key note address on new
psychological trends of the
present century provided insight
into recent trends in therapeutic
and medical care in our present
society. Some 50 students from
13 CEE nations welcomed his
challenge to bring a deep humanity
to the practice of psychology
as it is being renewed in Central
and Eastern European society.
This
experience at Neuwaldegg will
help me to build a democratic
society in which people are
free and respect law, where
we can tend towards unlimited
love and forgiveness. Here one
can contribute in order to build
such a society.
