Right to Keep and Bear Arms
May 12, 2006
Civic Institute, Prague.

A free society is only possible when the majority of society’s members are accorded by the state a legitimate degree of trust and responsibility.  This characteristic of society is called into question by extreme controls on the possession of weapons.  The goal of this conference, consequently, is to present a moral and philosophical case for the right to own arms by law-abiding citizens, as part of a just order in a free society.
